Benjamin Edelson is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from New York. His work spans film, contemporary classical, and pop.

Upcoming work includes music for NO DANCING ALLOWED, documentary for Earthbound Studio (preview premiered at the Guggenheim Museum), APPRIVOISE, mixed-media installation for dancer and robotic dog (premiering at The Shed), and CONTINUITIES, art song cycle for soprano and piano (preview reading at Mostly Modern Festival).

Other recent film projects include music for BONELESS 180 (produced by Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media, dir. Laya Hartman), SKWEEZY JIBBS MAKES A MOVIE (additional music, dir. Michael Ward), ERRAND (dir. Nicholas Hutchison), THE FAERIE QUEENE (dir. Lenny Luo), and THE SPIDER (dir. Daniel Karl).

An active composer of contemporary classical music, Benjamin’s work has been commissioned or premiered by ensembles including Grammy-winning So Percussion, Mostly Modern Brass, the New York University Orchestra, and the Princeton Sinfonia.

Benjamin is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A. in philosophy, minor in music composition), New York University (M.M. in film scoring), and The Juilliard School (Pre-College Division).
